GLOWA is an established counter child-trafficking organization based in Bamenda in the North West Republic of Cameroon. Set up in 2004 ‘by survivors for survivors’, GLOWA works to break the cycle of child-trafficking through the building of empowered, abuse resistant communities. GLOWA is driven by three guiding principles; inform, empower and transform. GLOWA works tirelessly to identify trafficking scams, educate communities, lobby policy-makers and deliver rehabilitation programs for victims
GLOWA combats child trafficking and the damage it creates in communities in Cameroon through raising awareness, rehabilitation, and advocacy. Our work aims to nurture a culture of respect for human rights, particularly those of children and women, and fight against the systematic abuses faced by the most vulnerable.
